Broadcaster and businessman Kim Kardashian expressed his thoughts on retiring from the entertainment industry by revealing his plan to become a lawyer.

According to a Page Six report on the 26th (local time), Kim Kardashian said he would give up his reality TV appearance to focus on becoming a lawyer.

Asked if he considered life other than a TV show on “2023 TIME100 Summit” on the 25th, he said, “I will be happy as a full-time lawyer.”

He added, “There are always a lot of things on TV and other activities, but I think my friends and family know that we really value our personal time a lot.”

Kardashian said he hoped fighting the country’s unjustified prison system would be the “most meaningful thing in life.”

“I joke with my mom, who is my manager, ‘Kim Kardashian will retire and become a lawyer,'” he said.

He also said, “I will spend more time preparing to become a lawyer, whether I use a camera or not.” He said he realized that “there was so much work to do” while preparing to be a lawyer

“I went to jail with my sister Chloe for the first time last week and it was really amazing for her,” he said.

Kim appeared on E! Channel’s “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” in 2007 for 20 seasons and signed for Hulu’s new reality show “The Kardashians,” which debuted last year. Over the years, Kim’s activities have expanded beyond reality TV appearances, launching clothing and beauty brands.

But he began to be interested in the fight for prison reform in 2017, when he began defending Alice Marie Johnson, who had been sentenced to life in prison since 1996, after being convicted of his first drug crime.

He devoted his time to freeing the 67-year-old Johnson and also met with former President Donald Trump on the issue. Trump commuted his sentence in 2018 and Johnson was released. Kim then said he worked to free several other prisoners and was studying to become a lawyer in 2019. And in 2021, he passed the bar preliminary exam after three failures.

His father, Robert Kardashian, became famous as a lawyer for OJT Simpson, who was tried for murder. Kim said he plans to take the bar exam in February 2024.
